As an avid scuba diver, I was devastated when the BP oil spill occurred in 2010. The health of the oceans is the basis of life.
I processed my anger through the materials. I began working with plaster and wax as physicality became an integral part of the work. Cellular shapes emerge as bubbles of life.
In 2019, I revisisted these materials as I thought about how climate change is affecting the coastlines and landscape.
